Online and Managed Backups
Prodigy can also tailor for your business an online, nightly, incremental backup of your critical data. It's stored at our ultra secure Data Centre in Sydney for total peace of mind. We set it up, check to make sure it's running ok, and do test restores to ensure it's there for you when you need it.
We can also remotely manage your own on-site backup for you, checking daily or weekly to ensure that tapes are being swapped and backup jobs are running correctly.
Archiving
In this day and age data just keeps growing, often beyond the limit of your existing backup solution. Prodigy offer a service to identify 'old' data that can be safely moved to an archive location. This usually involves keeping the data on your server in a readily accessible location, but taking it 'out' of the backup set. Instead, this data is burnt onto several optical media, copied onto one or more external hard drives, and manually backed up onto one or more tapes to ensure we have copies both on and off-site.
